Clemson vs. Alabama Preview

Folks, I don't have a lot of time here, as I am literally about to walk out the door and head to Atlanta. So I'm going to make it short and sweet.

Clemson is as good as, or better, than Alabama at every position on the field other than offensive line. They have more experience and talent on each side of the ball. On paper, this game should be a blowout. If it wasn't for the name "Alabama" on the jersey and the coach on the opposite sideline, people would be picking Clemson to run away with this one. Alabama is softer than tits. Since it's the first game of the season, I won't get too carried away with my prediction:

Clemson 41, Alabama 3

When I get back I'll review the game and explain more about this matchup.

Everyone have a great Labor Day weekend. Stay safe, and thanks for reading.

For a second I thought a Clemson fan really thought they were gonna win 41-3.

Wait. You're being serious, aren't you?

Dude, you're a Clemson fan, not Southern Cal.

Is every fan of every team that comes here this delusional, or do you just like picking fun at Carolina and really thinking Clemson is that good? Sorry, you aren't. Last time I gave a shit about Clemson you were crying your way home after a 30-0 beatdown by Georgia in The Valley. I've never seen grown men cry like I have at a Clemson game.

Epic Failure. Seriously, let them have their little dream world. You know...the same dream world where they win the ACC every year with superior talent, have the best fanbase ever that fills up every seat for every game, and pretends to actually have accomplished something besides being one of the largest choke jobs in the country.

Seriously, just let them. It's no use flamming him about it. They embarass themselves, like they will tonight on ABC, and they don't need other comments thrown their way. Amen.

41-3? Is that the score of the game or Wilford Brimley's blood pressure?

I tell you what- if the score is anything remotely like that, I promise I'll never come back here. EVER. Hell, I'll come back here after it's over, admit I'm wrong, and leave.

I can't speak for the other goomers that come here though.

I'll be back, because it's not gonna happen. You can make all the fantasies about Bammer all you want. It'll be a close game because Clemson isn't as good as the precious media makes them out to be. Simple.

Dude, just read his blog in general and that provides enough humor.

You're welcome.

I noticed that too. Almost every sign Clemson had was either some propaganda chickenshit, or something very subtle such as using the acronym "ESPN" to fit some cute Clemson meaning. Looks like only the brighest of the bright out of Clemson were allowed to go down to Atlanta.

Clemson had Alabama beat as far as representation at GameDay goes. Too bad every Clemson fan that yelled into the camera either weighted a metric ton, sounded as though they were stocked up at estrogen pills, or chanting "Number One!" into the camera. Clemson fans obviously don't have a very good memory when it comes to thinking they're some elite college program. Now, let's go enjoy some college football and enjoy the Labor Day Weekend. Peace.

LSU has already begun the trampling of App. State. 17-0 already. =[

with this kind of post, you show that you are no different from all those cock lovers. I hope that this was a sad attempt at humor. Don't stoop to their level, or in the alternative, don't prove them right regarding the level of ignorance of Clemson fans. Be realistic, y'all do have an awful coach and it is hard to Mac Brown Bama 41-6, so growup Peter Pan.

Owned. This shows just how stupid Clemsux fans are. Owner. Let it sink into your head. Clemson just got embarassed. Embarassed. Everyone with a brain stem has been saying that this would be close, but of course Clemson fans refuse to actually look at facts and just spew shit out of their big mouths.

Look what happens. Clemson got their shit ruined. How many rushing yards? How many passing yards? Harper looked pathetic. Your "Two-headed monster" looked pathetic. Your defense looked pathetic. Where was this "superior team?" The only thing I saw was an overmatched and outcoached Clemson team getting their feelings hurt. You were close on the score, so good job. But apparently the only team that is "softer than tits" is your middle-of-the-pack ACC team. Wave bye-bye to your championship season because it's out of the window. It was a sad excuse of a game for Clemson, and it was painful to watch. Which is funny after all that shit you gave Carolina fans. I wish the Dawgs could have another shot at you. We'd embarass you more than Alabama did in the Dome. I mean Clemson just looked pathetic. Superior in every way? Their defense was better, their offense was better, special teams was better, etc. It was just ugly.

Have a good season, Clemsux fan. You and the rest of the ACC can choke and rot at the bottom of the league as you come to the realization that you're just another podunk team that nobody cares about and is WAY over-hyped. Nice job, Clemson. You guys really showed us!

Anonymous said...

That, my friends, was fun to watch. Painful at the same time though. I feel sorry for Clemson fans. Seriously, which is funnier? The fact they think Harper can win Heisman, or the fact that their "o-line and linebackers" are inexperienced but by far the most skilled they've had?

What a joke. Have fun explaining this, Owner. 41-3? Nice. You must have really done your homework on these two teams to come to such a brillian conclusion. Hope you had fun tonight. We did.

So I ventured around the internet to find out that a lot of Clemson fans are selling their season tickets after they got raped. Saban might have to suspend all his players for that beat down.

I mean, according to all the Clemson dumbasses, Clemson had an advantage and superior talent in EVERYTHING. Really? Then how in the blue hell do you get the shit knocked out of you like that?

Money in the bank, kids. Money in the bank.

I love me some weak Clemson spin.

Anonymous said...

Holy shit, Clemson got ROCKED. Mr. Thunder and Lightning were held to HOW MANY YARDS? WOW. And how about Harper's cute little fumble? That was adorable putting him in on second down. And by adorable I mean Clemson has the sorriest excuse for coaches I have ever seen.

Embarassing. That sums up this game for Clemson fans everywhere. I was in a bar with hundreds of people and we all just had a good laugh at what we saw. Thanks for the laughs, Clemson. Have a fun season.

Anonymous said...

14 attempts for 1 yard rushing, and even the great gigantic lardass Dan Scott was preaching about how you didn't even get one.

That's not even an inch per carry. Pathetic doesn't quite cover just how bad that is.

Anonymous said...

Owner, Clemson fans weren't contemplating suicide after the game, were tehy? It sure did look like they were at times. Outside of Michigan, I don't think there's a more bitchy and pissy fanbase than Clemson.

I mean, my Hokies got upset by ECU. But that was actually my upset special this week, along with Bowling Green beating Pittsburgh, but that's besides the point. You were the winner of the pre-season. Nobody would shut up about you. And now you can all come back down to reality and join all of us middle-tier ACC teams and realize you guys aren't good. Zero rushing yards with the "best" tandom in football. A defense that looked completely confused at times. Sometimes they looked like they didn't even know what city they were in. Even your great All-ACC safety Hamlin looked sad. It was a true pathetic thing to watch last night, and it doesn't help this superior complex the SEC has on the ACC either.

Thanks a lot, Clemson. You guys really told them!

Soft as tits? Who? Clemson or Alabama? I didn't see anything soft about Alabama, but you Clemson fans are too blind to see just how talented they were to begin with. Sorry, but with Saban on the other end you don't need talent that's better than the other team. Just his coaching and solid talent overall. Last night proved it. Embarassing yourself on national tv. Way to go.

Anonymous said...

In fact...let me take the gloves off for a second. All joking aside from Virginia Tech and Clemson.

The ACC is worse than I imagined. One could make an argument, like they are doing on ESPN radio right now, that it's the worst. If it's not the worst, it's right in the low-tier. It's sad. I'm not one to boast and beat my chest about my conference, but the ACC is in a sad state right now. My VT team, who has always been atop the ACC, is barely mediocre this season. I saw it coming, but not like this. Young talent that will be very good in another season or two, but not near the team we have had.

And then you have NC State just embarassed by Carolina. You have Maryland barely beating Delaware. You have North Carolina barely beating McNeese State(who the hell?), and of course Southern Cal just slaughtered Virginia. Georgia Tech and Wake are the teams that had two very solid showings, but that's not the point.

Lack of quality coaches? We're in the south, just like the SEC. We can't compete with them, and nobody is arguing that. I just don't like teams that bang on their chest about it.

Also, Owner...did Alabam chant "SEC! SEC! SEC!" last night?

Clemson showed lack of effort and heart last night. It truely showed they expected to go into that game and rage. And when it didn't happen, they all shutup, sat down, and frowned. No coaches firing them up, no senior leadership. Just no heart and no effort once they were down. This is exactly why no team should bite the media hype.

I hope things can only go up from here, but it doesn't look like it.

Does it feel pretty good to get last night's prediction right, Owner? I mean you were spot on, man. Good job.

Stay true to form, bro, stay true to form.

Now go do your homework for The Citadel so you can go make another beautiful prediction.

I recommend 41-3.

Oh, and nice defense and o-line. Beautiful.

I dunno who you are, Ally, but that bitch in your avatar has the biggest facelift I have EVER seen. Is that you, your woman, or just some random avatar you found to use on here so we could hear your great knowledge of college football?

They have a shot at winning the title? National Title? ACC? Please be more specific in your brilliant analysts.

Now go change your avatar so I can stop gawking at it and making fun of that weird ass facelift. It's like someone pulled her skin back and stapled it.

Clemson fans are trying to turn this back into a NC State performance, but they fail. Clemson fans had Alabama getting owned. "Softer than tits," no depth, etc. etc. etc. And this happens. An absolute beat down. Now everybody is just sitting around, scratching their head, finally realizing what Clemson really is. Nice try, kids.

Clemson will beat The Citadel into the ground and talks of a National Championship will sprout up from the dumbasses once again.

Ally, tell that girl in your avatar to make me a damn sandwich while she talks about how bad Clemson and Carolina are.

Nobody will listen, but get her to do it anyway.

I think fail pretty much sums up Clemson and anything to do with the university.

Thanks for the good game last night, Clemson. I really enjoyed watching your superiority over that "soft as tits" Alabama team. Way to show off your offseason hype. They might as well hand you the championship trophy now.

Oh, and just to let you all know. Brokeback Bowden is having to take redshirts away from redshirt o-linemen and having to beg a graduate o-lineman who isn't playing, but has one year of elgibility to play, because of how pathetic your o-line really is.

If that doesn't scream pathetic, I don't know what does.

I could go on, but I think last night's performance sums it all up quite nicely.

I went to a party for this game. I didn't get as many comments as some of the other guys here as it was basically complete silence the entire time, you know after "Brokeback Bowden" put in that freshman who got a little brain disease and fumbled on the first play.

The USC fans were outside and by the end of the game we were making bets on the Greenville News headline for Sunday. This pissed off the host DS. We were not disappointed, "Crimson Tide Swamps Tigers".

I really wish that I could have been near LS on Saturday night. Paybacks a MF.

Anonymous said...

Of course USC fans gave them hell. Did you see all the shit they talked after they BEAT NC State 34-0. It was like they had lost. And of course they were so damn arrogant going into this game, mainly because they obviously didn't know who the hell they were up against. All we heard is weak, no depth, better talent on Clemson at every position excet o-line, etc. etc. etc. And then the beat down happens and not a single Clemson fan can be found without his/her head in their ass.

They got what was coming to them. It was truly a pathetic sight to see Saturday night. But at the same time very sweet. Clemson fans can STFU now.

It's a sad state of affairs in Clemson right now.

Anonymous said...

I was at a party myself. A few of my Carolina bretherns and a shit load of Clemsux fans. By the end of the first quarter it was just us USC fans talking, cheering, drinking, and having a good time. They didn't think our jokes were too funny, but I mean damn...did you watch the game? What wasn't to like? That's a recruiting tool Brokeback Bowden loves to use. Promise a recruit the first carry. I think it settles his own agenda, but in the long run it's pretty fucking stupid. Look where it got Clemson. But whatever. Not that it would have mattered if he didn't fumble. That was an assbeating inside and out.

Clemsux is all about mental intimidation. They come across as being really good, but it's all gum-beating. So when Bammer beat the living shit out of them in the first quarter, the game was over. Clemson took a beating that no amount of bragging and arrogance can overcome.

All the Clemson fans up here in "Ginia" have apparently crawled into a deep hole. I usually have to encounter at least one a day, but ever since the beat down on Saturday night they haven't shown their faces around here. I think they all went into hiding.

Owner, my advice to you is to get your big head out of your ass and realize what Clemson really is. Want to know what that is? Just watch a replay of the Alabama game.

Anonymous said...

Still upset about the game, Willy boy? Yeah, I would too. Maybe you'll have better luck against the The Citadel. It's funny though because this loss will eat away at Clemson all season and there isn't a thing Clemson can do to redeem themselves over such a beatdown. What is Clemson gonna do? Beat Citadel? SC State? Maryland who had to have help to beat Delaware? Duke? Please.

It's okay, Will. I'd be upset too. I'm glad you're handling the right way. I mean it's not everyday Clemson gets to play a team that's "soft as tits." Stay classy, sir, stay classy.

More MoaT post-Alabama beatdown. This is something everyone is posting from Facebook, calling for Bowden's head. Nice job.

Let's face it Tiger fans, this situation is shameful. We have the fans, the money, and the facilities to be champions year in and year out, but our leadership block the way. Regardless of what they say about supporting the program and their desire to win a championship, the truth is their focus is solely on breaking into the “Top 20 Public Schools” in the nation. Having the great facilities, popping in and out of the top 25, and having a clean-cut, likable coach are all that’s needed to help Clemson reach that “Top 20 Publics” goal, having a championship caliber team would be great, but not necessary. So, our leadership is content to allow us to suffer through years of embarrassment and ridicule, and they’ll continue to do so until they feel our pain. The only way to motivate our selfish leadership is to either do something to embarrass them or hurt their pocketbooks so much that they are forced to make the changes that obviously should have been made years ago. If we have to suffer through a couple of rough seasons to break in a new coaching staff and to get some “Danny Ford” era, stomp your @$$ players, then so be it. We’re suffering anyway and this torture has got to stop. I know that we will still attend games, we’re true fans and we’re going to attend and watch our Tigers, but I recommend that all Tigers stop buying anything Clemson, cut or reduce IPTAY money and any other scholarships that may be supported, overwhelm our leadership with mail letting them know our true feelings, and wear black to the games instead of orange. Let’s cut the money supply and black out Death Valley to show that we’re fed up with this garbage. We’ll continue to be a bad joke until we force a change. Black out until Tommy's out!

Hilarious? You know it.

No offense to him, but Owner is just a stereotypical Clemson fan. He loves his team, hates the Gamecocks, but is too bias to see the reality that is Clemson football. Remember, he's the same guy that kept saying how pathetic Alabama was, how they were "soft as tits," and outmatched at every position. He failed to realize what every Clemson fan fails to realize. They're too finesse of a football team, and they're just not that good. Plain and simple. No toughness at all. Clemson will go 4-0 their next four games playing cupcakes. Citadel, NC State, Maryland, SC State, etc. Will that make everything better, Owner? No. Nothing will redeem what happened Saturday. Nothing. Wake Forest will beat Clemson and Florida State will beat Clemson. Plain and simple. I could go on, but it's simple. Clemson is a weak team. Did you see how they got raped Saturday? That was a good ole gridiron rape. It was fun to watch. Now Clemson fans can come back down to reality and realize the harsh truth. Man, it's still fun watching Clemson just get abused. O-line weak, d-line weak, linebackers weak, secondary looked confused as hell. It was pitiful. This will happen everytime Clemson plays an aggressive, strong team. Every time.

And you know what the funniest thing about all of it is? Bowden called Saban yesterday and wanted him to tell him how he did it. I laughed so hard when I heard him say that on the press conference. Season begins. You get raped. You call THAT COACH that just raped you, and ask how he did it? That truly spells how pathetic Clemson football really is.

Here's some more gold.

Notes from Monday night’s practice:

Bringing senior student coach Bobby Hutchinson out of retirement all but spelled out the obvious – the injury to starting junior right guard Barry Humphries is believed severe.

O-line coach Brad Scott said doctors initially believed Humphries had torn the ACL in his right knee, but a subsequent MRI left some doubt as to whether it was a complete tear. So Humphries will not know for sure the severity of his injury until surgery Wednesday.

Regardless, redshirt freshman Mason Cloy will start at right guard against The Citadel and likely for weeks to come.

Hutchinson will serve as the backup center to alleviate Cloy of that responsibility, since Cloy now needs to focus solely on guard.

Also, it appears coaches will try to expedite redshirt freshman David Smith’s development at left guard after junior Jamarcus Grant’s struggles vs. Alabama. Don’t be surprised if Smith logs most of the snaps come Saturday.

Tommy Bowden said he plans to wait until later this week to announce depth-chart moves spawned from the Alabama loss.

****

To perhaps shed some light on and put to bed the Jamie Cumbie rumors …

Cumbie, in fact, did not make the trip back from Atlanta with the team.

Here is what happened, as I understand it.

From what I’ve been told, Cumbie was rather animated on the team bus after Saturday’s game. Over what, I don’t know. But at some point, defensive coordinator Vic Koenning asked/instructed Cumbie to get off the bus and go ride the third of the team’s three chartered rides.

So Cumbie cools off by walking away and perhaps into the Georgia Dome for a few minutes.

When he returned, the team buses were gone. He had been checked off as on the team roll when he got on the first bus, so the team thought it had him … or, at least, that he had gotten on the other bus.

So Cumbie had to call his parents to come pick him up.

Bowden declined to confirm or deny any details Monday night, and I’ve been told all parties met Monday and cleared the air about any miscommunications that might have occurred.

“In my 10 years here, there have been several heated exchanges,” Bowden said. “But if there was, I certainly wouldn’t announce it to the public. If there were an internal matter, I would keep it internal.”

****

The latest example Bowden pulled out to improve player morale was relating Clemson to last year’s Georgia team, which lost to USC early and went on to earn a BCS bid.

Bowden said you could tell the team was embarrassed during Monday’s practice, but “you’ve got to take your medicine when you play like that.”

Asked whether beating up on The Citadel would honestly make the Tigers feel like they’ve progressed, Bowden responded, “Find out Sunday.

“I imagine they were writing pretty good things about Oklahoma when they played Chattanooga or Georgia playing Georgia Southern. I don’t know what they write about them in the paper, but maybe we’ll get the same kind of treatment.”

EPIC FAIL.

Welcome back to earth, ladies and gentlemen. Guess what? Your football team is a group of pussies who hang their heads and cry when they're getting the shit rocked out of them....And then your coach leaves your 265 pound DT at the stadium because he's a failure.

I agree. Turn this into a porn site since it's obvious now you know nothing about college football, you're a dumbass Clemson fan like the rest of them, and everything you've said has blown up in your face. Either man up on that grid iron rape you faced or just don't post anymore. Pathetic. Simply pathetic. Everything Clemson related seems to be summed up into that one word.

Pathetic.

So Saban had a interview on the radio at some broadcasting station and they asked him about Bowden calling him after the grid iron rape.

Basically he said that he's never heard of a coach doing that in 'big boy football' and that it didn't make much sense. The host also mentioned that Saban is probably surprised to get so much butt kissing from a fellow coach that he's got to repeatedly call and ask how Saban 'schemed him'...

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

Owner, you're doing the right thing. Just leave this blog here to rot. You and all Clemson fans should just go crawl into a hole, even after you win your next few games against the schools for the deaf and blind. Garbage team.

I still just can't figure out where the carolina fan is dilusional. Almost every carolina fan will without hesitation admit the mediocrity of our program. Yet the "undilusional" clemson fan proclaims to be this dominant team from the ACC. Isn't Clemson 1-3 in their last 4 SEC match-ups? And wasn't that one win on a last second field goal against the gamecocks, one the bottom-tier SEC teams? Who does Clemson play? Where does this assurance of talent and skill come from? The hypocracy here is just confusing...

Anonymous said...

I can't imagine what Bowden did after the phone call.

*Bowden walks into the team meeting room with all his players and coaches*

"Okay, guys. I JUST got off the phone with Saban, and here's what we gotta do to NOT suck! Man, he sure is full of advice!"

Damn Bowden, whose next? When Clemson was having fumbling prolems(might wanna call someone on that too) a few seasons ago he called a myriad of coaches asking what to do. He's a joke among coaches. It isn't just Bowden sucking now. It's higher up. It's the AD and President. Bowden is lower than mediocre. He's garbage coaching a bunch of pussy-whipped babies that get man-handled like sacks of shit. Cry me a river Clemson fans, and go beat The Citadel so you can have something else to delude your minds with while the rest of the college football world laughs at you. And yes, everyone is still laughing at you. Even Herby on "The Game" had a phone conversation with the Pacman and Co. and they were all laughing at you. You're a joke. You and your delusional, cry baby fanbase.

From wire reports:
Clemson University announced today that, in an effort to improve their sagging football fortunes, one lucky fan will be chosen each week to serve as either offensive or defensive coordinator. The University describes this as it's new "You Call the Plays" program.

"Yeah, I called around a little bit this week to try and get some help," Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden stated, "but I didn't have much luck. Saban and Beamer just laughed and hung up. My Daddy did talk to me, but he kept calling me Terry and asking if I thought Charlie Ward would be ready to suit up for him this week. Finally he said he had to go because he was expecting a call from Bear Bryant."

Phone calls weren't the only cutting edge coaching technique Bowden utilized this week. "I tried to contact Knute Rockne using a Ouija Board, but the doggone thing just kept spelling out 'you suck'" Bowden told reporters at his weekly press conference.

Bowden announced that Buford Wannamaker of Six Mile, SC, was selected to call plays for the offense this week. When asked what his plans were for the Citadel game, Wannamaker replied "What's the Citadel?"

Wannamaker said his new scheme would be known as the "Mule Skinner" offense and will utilize 16 players on the field at once. "Yep, that's right," Wannamaker said, "we'll be using two offensive lines at the same time. We think that will give us the edge we were missing in Atlanta last week."

When told that using 16 players at once was against the NCAA rule book, Wannamaker replied "We ain't never payed no attention to the NCAA's rules before. Why should we start now?"

Coach Bowden said he was excited about Wannamaker's innovation, but that right now the team is a little short-handed and that they would have to wait until they get all of the players back that were left behind in Atlanta before they could work on the new scheme.

Bowden also announced that Darlene Wellford of Sugar Tit, SC, will serve as Defensive Coordinator for next weeks game. Ms. Wellford was unavailable for comment due to her weekly appointment at Tammy's Tan and Cut.

In related news Bowden announced that the University had discovered that Roscoe Crosby still has eligibility left and that the speedster from Union SC would be expected to contribute at all twenty two positions in addition to handling the punting and kicking duties.

Finally Bowden announced that ABC had located Brent Musberger in a dumpster behind the Esso Club. "He says he stopped off on his way back to New York from Atlanta, but he doesn't remember anything after that."

Owner, I have a very strong feeling you're still on here, sneaking around, reading.

Seriously- man up. You and your dumbass fanbase had a bomb blown up in your face. You thought you were All-World. You aren't. You got absolutely raped on the football field. Grow some balls, man up, and start blogging again. You're being a typical Clemson fan right now. Man up, admit you were horribly wrong, and move on with your shitty predictions. As much fun as it has been to make fun of you and call you out for your idiocy, it'd be nice to see you actually grow a pair and keep this thing going. I don't see it happening since you and the rest of the Clemson fanbase have decided to pack your bags and hide, but come on.

Quick, somebody call Holtz and ask him how to make another blog because Owner has left the building.

I have lost all respect that I had for Clemson fans.

Failures.

I'm sure after they beat The Shitadel everything will begin to tick correctly in Clemsux. Talks of National Championships will rise, people will come out of their holes, and the memory of your team getting grid iron raped will be gone. Owner will also make a reapperance, make some wild excuse why he was gone for over a week, and continue to do what he does best- prove that he and the rest of the Clemson fanbase is a huge joke to college football and he's too bias to see the reality that is really Clemson football.

You guys enjoy the football tonight.

Dude, Carolina lost to Vandy. Now you HAVE to create another blog. Come on down, Suzie!

Welcome to the SEC, buddy.

Oh wait, you'd know all about that, wouldn't you Clemsux?

34-10, dipshit. Have fun against the Shitadel!
